Middlesex Clinical Services is a unique setting where practitioners from a variety of specialty fields work together within the practice to best understand children and their needs. Our clinical staff from psychology, occupational therapy, social work, and psychotherapy work in partnership. We believe that children are complex beings. When they struggle, the views of more than one professional are often required to understand the problem and how to best help.
We describe our practice as "personality forward." We work hard to foster a comfortable and safe settings where all who enter can be who they are. This means that each practitioner is a person, just like you, with a whole life outside of our professions. We bring our genuine selves into our relationships with clients and families.
All of the Middlesex Clinical team may be recognized from their previous involvement with London Pediatrics Clinic (now closed).
Dr. Jared Berman sees children and youth for therapy. He often connects with his clients through activities like playing video games, shooting hoops, or walking (with or without the dog). Jared likes hoodies and spicy foods. He's a proud daddy to one two-legged human and Suga, the office dog.
Tina is the heart and soul of MCS. She takes care of both the staff and clients at the office and nothing runs well without her. She is the keeper of schedules, treats, stickers and sanity. Tina loves her family, a nice vacation, and good tea. Children are reminded to ask Tina for "magic money" or a lollipop after their visit. (Parents, too!)
Laurie Francis is an occupational therapist who provides assessment, intervention, and psychotherapy to children and youth with a range of clinical issues. Sessions with Laurie can be active (bouncing, jumping, building) or laid-back and comfy. Laurie is a mom to both a daughter and a dog. She loves the outdoors, travelling, and a good cup of coffee.
Dr. Esther Goldberg, also known as "Dr. G.," sees children and youth for assessment and parents for consultation. She firmly believes that every child should be supported to reach their full potential, wherever it lies. She is a wife, mom, and happy crafter in her spare time.
Jane Mackley (CRPO) provides psychotherapy to child and adolescent clients on a part-time basis. With over 20 years of experience in mental health and school services, Jane brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. She is an avid golfer, shoe lover, and proud parent and grandparent.
Lynn Donoghue (B.S.W., B.A., R.S.W.) has been a practicing social worker for over 30 years. Lynn graduated in the 80s and firmly believes that hair and outfits from that era are timeless. Lynn is a mom to two daughters. She loves creativity and the theatre and her retirement dream is to be a comedy writer.
Suga is such a good girl! Although she can jump through hoops and catch like a pro, she stays calm for the kiddos (unless they ask for a show). Suga can often be found sunning herself on the comfiest of chairs or longingly looking at you for pets and tummy rubs.
